What happened to CCIE routing and Switching

Cisco announced several significant changes to all certification paths, from CCNA to CCIE, at Cisco Live US 2019. What impact does this have on candidates currently studying for the CCIE RandS? We will answer this question and show you how to proceed with your studies. What’s the story behind the name? First and foremost, our favourite CCIE track is being renamed CCIE Enterprise InfraStructure from CCIE Routing and Switching. It is only a name change and does not affect anything other than our logos. This modification will take effect on February 24, 2020. Concerning the examination, the upcoming change Cisco will implement concerns exams. The CCIE RandS qualification (Rand’s written exam) and the CCNP “Core” exams are no longer distinguished.

300-401 ENCOR “Implementing and Operating Cisco Enterprise Networking Core Technologies” qualifies you for one of three assignments:

  • To become a CCNP Enterprise, you must pass a CCNP Concentration exam.
  • Examine the Enterprise Infrastructure Lab.
  • Becoming an Enterprise Infrastructure CCIE and CCIE Take the CCIE Enterprise Wireless Lab exam and become certified in CCIE Enterprise Wireless.
  • Even though wireless is part of these changes, we will discuss wireless developments in a blog post. Take care.

Why did CCIE Routing and Switching end?

Automation and artificial intelligence (AI) are changing how their networks are deployed and managed. As a result, they place enormous demands on networking professionals’ skills and understanding. IT professionals must combine technical knowledge with network design expertise, master programming, automation, and security in complex network infrastructure to capitalize on the opportunities. As a result, Cisco decided to launch new CCIE certifications redesigned for today’s technologies and business requirements. For more information check on the CCIE related site.

What exactly is the CCIE Enterprise Infrastructure certification?
