Unit-I: Relations and Functions

1. Relations and Functions

So, in this chapter, students will learn Types of relations: reflexive, symmetric, transitive, and equivalence relations. Additionally, the chapter will cover One one and onto functions.

2. Inverse Trigonometric Functions

So, this chapter will cover the Definition, range, domain, principal value branch.

Unit-II: Algebra

1. Matrices

Also, the matrix is an essential chapter in class 12 Maths Syllabus CBSE 2021-2022. Moreover, the chapter will cover Concept, notation, order, zero and identity matrix, types of matrices, symmetric and skew-symmetric matrices. Additionally, other concepts are Simple properties of addition, multiplication, and scalar multiplication. 2. Determinants

So the determinants chapter will cover the Determinant of a square matrix (up to 3 x 3 matrices), co-factors, and the determinants application in finding the area of a triangle and minors. Moreover, they will solve the system of linear equations in two or three variables (having a unique solution) with the inverse of a matrix.

Unit-III: Calculus

1. Continuity and Differentiability

So, this chapter covers continuity and differentiability, the derivative of composite functions, and chain rule. Additionally, they will also learn the derivative of inverse trigonometric and implicit functions. Also, you will understand the concept of exponential and logarithmic functions.

Also, they will study Derivatives of logarithmic and exponential functions. Moreover, they will also cover Second order derivatives, Logarithmic differentiation, and derivative of functions expressed in parametric forms

2. Applications of Derivatives

So, this chapter will cover Applications of derivatives: increasing/decreasing functions, maxima and minima, and tangents and normals. Additionally, they will solve simple problems (that demonstrate fundamental concepts and understanding of the concept and real-life scenarios). 

Unit-V: Linear Programming

1. Linear Programming

So, this chapter will cover Introduction, related terms such as constraints, optimization, types of linear programming (L.P.) problems, an objective function. Additionally, they will learn the graphical method of solution for problems in two variables. Also, feasible and infeasible regions (bounded), optimal feasible solutions, and feasible and infeasible solutions.

Unit III: Calculus

1. Integrals

So this chapter will cover Integration as an inverse process of differentiation. Additionally, they will learn the Integration of various functions by substitution, partial fractions, and parts. Moreover, they will learn the Fundamental Theorem of Calculus (without proof).

2. Applications of the Integrals

Additionally, this chapter will help students learn about the Applications in finding the area under simple curves. Moreover, the lines, parabolas. Also, it includes the area of circles /ellipses. (Also, only in standard form) (The area should be easily distinguishable.)

3. Differential Equations

So, this chapter will cover the Definition, general and particular solutions of a differential equation, order, and degree. Additionally, they will learn solutions of homogeneous differential equations of the first order and first degree and solution of differential equations by separating variables. 

Unit-IV: Vectors and Three-Dimensional Geometry

1. Vectors 

So, this chapter will cover Vectors and scalars. Additionally, it will include the magnitude and direction of a vector and direction cosines and direction ratios of a vector. Moreover, they will also learn Types of vectors, including equal, unit, parallel, zero, and collinear vectors. Also, the chapter will cover the position vector of a point, components of a vector, negative of a vector, addition of vectors, position vector of a point dividing a line segment in a given ratio, and the multiplication of a vector by a vector scalar.

2. Three–dimensional Geometry

So, in this chapter, students will learn about the direction cosines and direction ratios of a line joining two points. Additionally, they can go through the Cartesian equation and vector equation of a line, the shortest distance between two lines, and coplanar and skew lines. Also, it will include the cartesian and vector equation of a plane and the distance of a point from a plane.

Unit-VI: Probability

1. Probability

So, the final unit and the chapter will include conditional probability, independent events, multiplication theorem on probability, total probability, Random variable, and its probability distribution, and Bayes’ theorem.
